THE TWENTY FIRST FEBRUARY

We are, of course, proud of ' The 21st
               February forever,
Though the festival on this day brings
                A flood of pain every year.

In '52' for demanding Bangla as
                 The state language,
Pak force opened fire on this day
                At our mob like the savage.

Violating firing restriction under
                  The open sky in Bengal,
Rafique, Salam, Barakat, and Jabbar
                   Died a death honourable.

On this day a lot of our  sons known and
          Unknown also fought bravely,
And many of them died for upholding
         The mother language only.

Sacrificing their lives for the sake of
    Mother tongue, they'll ne'er decay,
For, they've made this day as an
    International Mother Language day.   

This prideful day is, indeed, a prideful
           Spirit of our people,
Because, our language martyrs make
            The day the most memorable.

This 'Twenty First' Is an inspiration
           Of any movement to us,
So, we always remember, respect and
            Praise our language martyrs.
