ON PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S (SM)    BIRTHDAY

Today the sky laughs a heavenly laugh,
And the nature looks ornamented enough.

Getting up from the bed in the morning, 
People watch everywhere decorating.
    
The morning light attracts all the people,
And the flowing breeze too, fascinates all.

 Fragrance is spread around by the air, 
And all enjoy it with a great pleasure.

Birds sing in all trees melodiously,
And their songs attract everyone highly.

Today the sun doesn't give the scorching heat.
And the clouds float in the sky with delight

The  blooming flowers excel the nature,
And her beauty sparkles everywhere.

All the insects, beasts, and birds are also,
Very happy today and roam to and fro.

People are today free from anxiety,
So, they feel love, kind and fraternity.

All say only, " Why is today so sweet?
And why are all the men so thrilled on it?"

It was the 12th of Rabiul Awal,
The happening of our Prophet's arrival.

That was why, the day was very charming,
And all in nature were so rejoicing.

Between the hill and the bay

              You can see,

A charming upland which will

               Hit your fancy.

            

People on this land and birds

             In the forest,

       Live happily and enjoy

             The nature best.

Here flowers and fruits dance

            Nicely in the bough,

And the bird sings when the air

      Hums a tune sough.

In this land, the melodious

         Bird's chirping,

Welcomes the morning and

        Farewells the evening

When bushes  are glowed at night

          With the fireflies,

They, like the starry sky on the land,

          Look so nice.

         

The king of sky by day and

         His queen at night,

Make this glorious land

    Attractive and bright.

It gets a lot of worthy

      Gifts of nature,

And they're endless in  all

      Seasons of the year.

Different flowers fruits and corns

             Ornate the land,

So, poverty can't come here

              With its wild hands.

Here golden crops are 

       Grown immeasurably, 

Thus holy peasants pass 

     Their lives peacefully.

Men of various creeds

      Live here with amity,

And enjoy a peaceful life

        In reality.

Here people are united, kind

         Helpful and dear, 

As though members of a

         Family,  they are.

The hill of Sita, a Hindu

          Shrine is here,

And the cascade of the Eco-park

          Looks wonder.

Business, education,rite,sight

             Sound and culture,

    Make the land busy like a

               Permanent fair.

The fairy land becomes fade

            To this ground,

Which is the place of my birth

             Named Sitakund.

WINTER IN BENGAL

Nature loses her blooming                     Youth In the Winter,
Forests and bushes put on
                The yellow colour.

During this season, dullness
              prevails everywhere,
And the tune of anxiety is
                Played in nature.

The biting cold starts arriving     With the northern breeze.,
And causes death to leaves       To fall down from the trees.

All the bare trees like sentries
            Remain still standing,
And the  nature in Bengal
            Seems stoics looking.

The winter season makes
           Human life quite restless
And men pass their important
           Time in idleness.

The brooks in the winter lose
     Their restlessness fully,
So, they seem to be the old
        And useless only.

The sun rises like a red plate
            In the morning,
And to receive him, the people
             Remain waiting.

Swarms of bees fly for honey from
             The mustard flower,
And the villagers warm their body
             Sitting by fire. 

Opening  wings in the sun, birds
          Bask and start singing
And in winter, they physically
           Looks charming.

The winter offers us a lot of
          Delicious foods,
And one of the sweetest foods
          Of them is date juice.
          
Village farmers work in the field
             In biting cold,
And all the housewives remain busy
              With the household.

Fields are full of different
       Vegetable species,
And variety of fishes are
       caught in the ditch.

Plum, orange, Kamranga, Lemon
          Hog plum and Bel
In this season in Bengal
           Are available.
         
Roses, marigolds, Dahlias and
          Sunflowers are
The great charm of the morning
          During the winter.

The winter hums the poor and
        Esteems the rich highly,
Whereas,the poor men exalt
         The winter only
