           God to the Christian,
Jehovah to the Jew and to the Hindo
           You are Bagaban.

Your name as a lord, differs from
          One community to another,
Living in different parts of the  world
          O my dear Sustainer!

None but You are the most beneficent
          And the most merciful,
And You have created this charming
          World which is very beautiful.

We're, on the earth, lucky to be Your agent
          And the best of all creatures,
So, we all submit ourselves to You,
          O the Lord of the universe!

You're the omnipotent, the omnipresent
           And the omniscient,
Your bounty and grace In the world,
          Make our life happy and excellent.

None gives birth to You and You also
         Never give birth to anyone
And You can Know everything that
        Passes in the mind of everyone.

Divers castes call You in different names
        And get satisfaction,
But, as a creator, You are the most
       Powerful and only one.

The malicious can not be
        Kind hearted persons,
Because of their hectic in evil
       Thoughts and actions.

They' re raffish for their
       Indecency and meanness,
And also like to defame
      The virtuous always.
           
They create chaos over trifling
        Matter in society,
And disrupt peace, security
        And amity.

They feel pain to hear any
         Good news of a neighbour,
And become happy to find
        Anyone very sufferer.

At anyone's progress their hearts
        Are burned into flame,
So they start playing with him
        A perilous game.

  In society, people love and
         Help them  never,
Thus they 've to live in society
         Like prisoner.

In society, they ne'er  get homage,
         Thank and wreath, 

Except bitter experience of
          Double death.

JIHAD

Jihad' is an Arabic word
       Used in Bengali,
So, all of us should know
      What it means properly.

All the jealous of Islam
       Misinterpret it,
Because, they are unconscious
        Unwise and deceit.

Trying, fighting, struggling
          toiling for good action,
Are related to its meaning
           In lexicon.

In Islam, Jihad is a
            Struggle or action,
Against unjust,for the sake of
              God's satisfaction.

The fight to save nation
              Religion and state is,
True Jihad in Islam,
              The religion of peace.

The struggle against evil
             Propensities must be,
A great Jihad in
              Islamic ideology.

This Jihad keeps mind free
              From evil propensity,
And arouses good instinct
                To bring humanity.

Men lead by evil propensity
                 Is, in fact,
Comparable to the beast living
                 In the forest.

People like this nature
                In human society,
Remain engaged in
                  Destroying humanity.

Thus, quarrel and murder
          Become common matter,

And no one can enjoy peace
                    And happiness ever.

So, Jihad against the mind first
                   Is Sunna's order,
And it makes human life happy
                   Here and hereafter.

If the wave of evil thought in
                   Human mindo rises,
Jihad against mind can, of course,
                    Rejects it always.

Jihad brings goodness      Preventing all evil deeds,  

Thus, men in society get
        Happiness and peace.

Islam, the only religion
                    Of God says-
"Jihads are hylic, economic
              And knowledge base."

Islam, with a code of life,
            Is a religion,
She gives her followers
             A good situation.

To her, men irrespective of cast
              Creed and colour--
Will, of course, enjoy their rights
                Equally with pleasure.

If enemies come to abolish
                 Islam forcibly,
Then Jihad is a must for all
                  Muslims only.

The research done for the
                 Welfare of the people,
Is also a knowledge base
                 Jihad after all.

"To sacrifice wealth for the sake
                  Of the nation,
Is a financial Jihad,"
                   Says this religion.

Jihad is for the sake of
                  God, the Almighty,
Nor,  it brings devil's victory
                   In reality.

This victory must create
                The terrorist kingdom,
Then men will lose humanity
                  And social charm.

Jihad is a great worship
                 To God, the Creator,
And the man who dies in Jihad
                  Is a martyr.

The reward for martyr is,
                   Of course, paradise,
And to obtain it, every Muslim
                     Pray and tries.

The fighters of truth can be
                      Close to God easily,
For this, Muslims want to end
                     Their lives in Jihad only.

Like a rider,
One day he will throw you
To the world hereafter.
You are unable to release
From his chain ever-

With wife, kids, honour and
Wealth, you're attracted,
And mirth and luxury
Make you delighted.
You averse to the place where
You'll be ever dweller--

This world is your permanent
Address never,

And your abode will be 

In the next world sooner.

You must remember death which will
Send you there-

You must make capital here
For hereafter,
And can make  it vast abiding
By God's order.

Love is overflowed, 
sweetness is waved,
Meanness is avoided,
Penury is seceded, 
The earth seems to be an ocean of pleasure-
                          Today is Eidul Fitre.

Mind is filled with emotion,
Everyone is felicitated, 
Nature is adorned, 
darkness is removed,
And the heavenly light enlightens all over.
                           Today is Eidul Fitre.

The faithful are kind hearted,
None is impolite or bad,
The chest is unrestricted,
All are embraced,
There is no question of birth and colour-
                             Today is Eidul Fitre.

Malignity is extricated,
Guile is rejected,
Mind is, to virtue, devoted,
Charity is extended,
And the hearts of all Muslims are similar-
                           Today is Eidul Fitre.

Amity is uplifted, 
people are fortified, 
Cockiness is abandoned, 
Cheerfulness is revealed,
May the earth be as like as Eid day forever-
                              Today is Eidul Fitre.

You've brought a new spirit
         To our nation,
And have brighten us
         Like the rising sun.

You are the songbird
          In our green Bengal,
And your sweet songs
           Fascinate our people.

Your songs of love,
    Youth and rebellion,
Have given us
    The power of action.

Your rebel songs and poems
      Struck the white throne,
And  saved our people
      From its oppression.

Irrespective of all caste,
    Creed and colours,
Your songs have brought
     A flood of love with cheers

Your voice exceeds
      The roaring of the tiger,
And your tune, than the cuckoo,
       Is  sweeter.

The tune of your songs
             Wakens us bravely,
And inspires us to hoist
              Our flag pridefully.

You wrote a lot for children,
       Old and young,
And for their freedom,
       You struggled for long.

Your broad mind has made you
         A poet of man,
So, your seat in the country
        Is golden.

You've burned the slavery
        Into ashes,
And blown fresh air
        For upcoming ages.

You are the sun and the moon
         Of our sky,
And by your light we get
        Relieved and sig 

To vercome our sufferings 

And sorrows,

        Have made us real heroes.
